At the Christian Education Auction in October, a dinner for 10 was auctioned off during the live auction portion. Two dinners were won: one by Tom and Jackie Provencher, and one by Joe and Bev Northrop. The dinner was offered by the Dave and Kathe Lampert and Robin and Kirk Erickson.
On February 20th, Joe and Bev Northrop received their dinner. They invited their four children and children-in-law to enjoy the dinner. One in-law was unable to attend, so their granddaughter, Jamie, joined the fun. According to Joe, this was the first time in a long time that they were able to get their immediate family together all at one time.
Jamie set and decorated the tables with beautiful flowers, place tags, Mardi Gras masks and beads.
The menu for the night included: shrimp remoulade, hearts of romaine salad, jambalaya with shrimp, andouille sausage and chicken, asparagus, and, for dessert, Bananas Foster. Dave, Kathe and Robin shopped and then cooked most of the day before the big meal.
The food was delicious and the company was wonderful. We're looking forward to feeding the Provenchers and their guests soon. We'll let you know how that goes too!
